🏅 Outstanding Achievement at the Inter-Hall Judo Championship! 🏅

We are delighted to share that Md Raju Ahmmed , a student of English Department Batch-15, participated in the Inter-Hall Judo Championship and secured 1st place in the -73 kg weight category, winning the gold medal. 🥇

We warmly congratulate him on this remarkable achievement and wish him continued success in the days ahead. May this accomplishment inspire even greater achievements in the future.

We are pleased to announce that the English Sports Club (ESC) is going to organize the English Sports Carnival 2026.

This three-day sporting event will bring together six teams representing six different batches of the Department of English in a celebration of teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy competition.

Events:
• Inter-Batch Men’s Football
• Inter-Batch Men’s Short-Pitch Cricket
• Inter-Batch Women’s Football Penalty Shootout
• Inter-Batch Women’s Short-Pitch Cricket

Venue:

The English Sports Club organised an introductory session for Batch 20.

The session was graced by the presence of the Chairperson of the Department of English, Professor Tazin Aziz Choudhury, along with Professor Ahmed Bashir, Professor Bijoy Lal Basu, Associate Professor Qumrul Hasan Choudhury, and our club’s advisor, Mohammad Elias Uddin. Their presence and words of encouragement greatly inspired us.

ইংলিশ স্পোর্টস ক্লাবের কার্যকরী সদস্য ও ব্যাচ–১৮ এর মেধাবী ছাত্রী জান্নাতুল ফেরদৌস সুমি ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় দলের হয়ে ৩০তম জাতীয় কারাতে প্রতিযোগিতা ২০২৬-এ অংশগ্রহণ করে অসাধারণ সাফল্য অর্জন করেছেন।

ফাইনালে বাংলাদেশ আর্মির বিপক্ষে রুদ্ধশ্বাস লড়াইয়ে ৭–৭ পয়েন্টে সমতায় থেকে রানার-আপ হয়ে তিনি সিলভার মেডেল অর্জন করেন। 🥈

তার এই অর্জনে আমরা অত্যন্ত গর্বিত। ইংলিশ স্পোর্টস ক্লাবের পক্ষ থেকে তাকে জানাই আন্তরিক অভিনন্দন ও শুভকামনা। 💐

Zannatul Ferdous Sumi, an Executive Member of the English Sports Club and a student of Batch 18, represented the University of Dhaka in the 30th National Karate Championship 2026 and achieved remarkable success.

In a thrilling final against the Bangladesh Army team, she secured the Silver Medal by finishing as the runner-up with a tied score of 7–7. 🥈

We are immensely proud of her accomplishment. The English Sports Club extends heartfelt congratulations and best wishes for her future success. 💐
