Greetings from the Bangladesh Adventure Club. I want to sincerely thank the Bangladesh Cycling Federation for yesterday's presentation of a crest to club officials. This expression of gratitude for our logistical assistance during the 45th National Cycling Championship 2026 absolutely humbles us.

We think that cooperation is what makes our sporting community strong, even though the athletes vying for gold are the main focus of any national tournament. We have the honor of helping to make such a prominent occasion a success. Your acknowledgement of our team's dedication and logistical assistance strengthens our resolve to promote the development of cycling and sportsmanship in Bangladesh.

বাংলাদেশী পর্বতারোহী বাবর আলী বিশ্বের পঞ্চম সর্বোচ্চ শৃঙ্গ মাউন্ট মাকালু আরোহণকারী প্রথম বাংলাদেশী ব্যক্তি হিসেবে ইতিহাস সৃষ্টি করেছেন।

শনিবার বাংলাদেশ সময় আনুমানিক ভোর ৫:৪৫ মিনিটে তিনি ৮,৪৮৫ মিটার উচ্চতার চূড়ায় পৌঁছান। এর মাধ্যমে তিনি ৮,০০০ মিটার উচ্চতার কোনো পর্বতে পঞ্চমবারের মতো সফলভাবে আরোহণ করলেন, যা বাংলাদেশী পর্বতারোহীদের মধ্যে এক অপ্রতিদ্বন্দ্বী রেকর্ড।

নেপালের মহালাঙ্গুর হিমালয় পর্বতমালায় অবস্থিত মাকালু ৮,০০০ মিটারের উপরের ১৪টি শৃঙ্গের মধ্যে অন্যতম কঠিনতম আরোহণের একটি হিসেবে ব্যাপকভাবে বিবেচিত হয়। এর খাড়া, পিরামিড-সদৃশ গঠনের কারণে এটি "গ্রেট ব্ল্যাক ওয়ান" ডাকনাম পেয়েছে।

"মাকালু: দ্য ফিফথ ফ্রন্টিয়ার" শিরোনামের এই অভিযানটি ভার্টিক্যাল ড্রিমার্স দ্বারা আয়োজিত হয়েছিল। ক্লাবের সভাপতি ফারহান জামান অভিযানের আয়োজক মোহন লামসালের বরাত দিয়ে সফলভাবে চূড়ায় আরোহণের বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করেছেন। চূড়ান্ত আরোহণের সময় বাবরের সঙ্গে ছিলেন আং কামি শেরপা।
