Shortlisted applicants joined the interview session, sharing their ideas and experiences as they stepped forward to take on a role in CDSTF Season 4.

এবারের উৎসবের মূল কেন্দ্রবিন্দুতে ছিল সাতক্ষীরার শ্যামনগর থেকে আসা একদল অদম্য গল্পকার ও নির্মাতা। প্রতিকূল উপকূলীয় জনপদ থেকে আসা এই তরুণদের জীবনঘনিষ্ঠ ও লড়াকু গল্পগুলো দিয়েই উৎসবের সূচনা হয়, যা মূলত বাংলাদেশের লড়াকু সত্তা এবং উৎসবের মূল থিমকে প্রতিনিধিত্ব করেছে।

শহরে বেড়ে ওঠা অনেক তরুণই হয়তো জানে না তাদেরই বয়সের কিছু তরুণ প্রতিদিন টিকে থাকার লড়াই লড়ে যাচ্ছে।

সাতক্ষীরার শ্যামনগরের তরুণরা এবার নিজেরাই শোনালো তাদের জলবায়ু পরিবর্তনের সঙ্গে সংগ্রাম, হারানো, আবার নতুন করে স্বপ্ন দেখার গল্প। শহরের তরুণরা শুনলো, অনুভব করলো, প্রশ্ন করলো।

Daffodil International University-এর Department of Journalism, Media and Communication, DIU কমিউনিটি স্টোরিটেলিং ফেস্টিভ্যাল সেই সুযোগটাই তৈরি করেছে; যেখানে গল্প মানে শুধু গল্প নয়, জীবনের বাস্তবতা।

উৎসবের আহ্বায়ক ও ড্যাফোডিল ইন্টারন্যাশনাল ইউনিভার্সিটির সাংবাদিকতা, মিডিয়া এবং যোগাযোগ বিভাগের সহযোগী অধ্যাপক ড. আবদুল কাবিল খান বলেন, ‘সিডিএসটিএফ দিন দিন আমাদের লক্ষ্য পূরণের দিকে এগিয়ে যাচ্ছে। আমাদের শিক্ষার্থীরাই এই উৎসবের প্রাণ। আশা করি ভবিষ্যতে আরও বড় পরিসরে আমরা এ উৎসবটি আয়োজন করতে পারব।’

The curtains have officially closed on the Community Digital Storytelling Festival - CDSTF, Season 3, leaving Daffodil Smart City buzzing with the lingering energy of a thousand stories. Today’s conclusion was a powerful reflection of everything we aimed to achieve, moving from the final competitive screenings to an emotional ceremony that honored the raw talent of our creators. Seeing the culmination of so much hard work from the cinematic urban narratives to the vital advocacy of our coastal youth storytellers reminded us all that the lens is our most potent tool for change.

To our incredible participants, the dedicated JMC faculty, and every guest who joined us on this journey, thank you for making this season a landmark success. Your passion turned every session into a masterclass in human connection, and your support provided the foundation for this platform to thrive. We leave the festival today not just with memories of beautiful cinematography, but with a deeper bond as a community of truth-tellers.

While the festival has officially concluded, the impact of these stories is only just beginning to unfold. We are walking away from Season 3 with a renewed sense of purpose and a shared belief in the power of the digital voice.
