Kitchen Suppression System -Service !!!

A puff test is a non-destructive functional check used during the installation or maintenance of fire suppression systems—including wet chemical systems under NFPA 17A—to verify that the distribution piping and nozzles are completely clear and unobstructed.

Purpose and Procedure What it does: It confirms free, continuous gas or air flow through the pipes and out of every individual discharge nozzle without needing a full, messy chemical discharge.

How it is performed: Technicians isolate the agent storage cylinders and connect a regulated source of inert gas or compressed air (such as nitrogen) into the piping network at normal operating or test pressure.

Verification: Small indicators like ribbons or balloons are temporarily attached to the nozzles. When pressure is applied, the technician checks that every indicator flutters or inflates evenly, proving there are no blockages, caked residue, or pinched lines.When it is required: Typically conducted during new system installations (after initial piping checks and before loading/connecting live agent tanks) or after major piping modifications and repairs.🔥🚒

180 meters installed in only one day, using the HDPE couplings manufactured by is really the best solution for underground pipes, in this case we installed a main feeder of 160 mm and main lines are going to be 110 mm. You only need to have the rights tools and the best technology for join pipes offered by Victaulic.
