🎸 THE YORK FESTIVAL 2026 | 16–18 OCTOBER

The York Festival has evolved.

This year, we’re leaning into what audiences love most — great music, intimate venues and a weekend worth travelling for.

LEGENDARY GUITARISTS | UNFORGETTABLE PERFORMANCES | INTIMATE VENUES

At the heart of the weekend is TWANG! 2026, featuring Australian blues-rock legend Dave Hole, acclaimed guitarist Nathan Cavaleri and Grammy Award-winning pedal steel guitarist Lucky Oceans, alongside a stellar line-up of musicians celebrating the guitar in all its forms.

Across three days, you’ll find major performances in the magnificent York Town Hall, live music at the Castle Hotel, lunchtime sessions, the TWANG! Sound Trail, workshops, walks, talks, creative experiences and free community events throughout York.

And now that the full program is live, it’s time to start planning your weekend.

🎟️ HOW TICKETS WORK

Weekend and Day Passes include TWANG! performances and selected Festival events.

Some smaller sessions are also included with your pass, but you’ll need to reserve your place.

NEW TO THE YORK FESTIVAL PROGRAM: Beyond Fear and Anxiety with Nathan Cavaleri

You may know Nathan Cavaleri as the phenomenal guitarist who has shared stages with some of the biggest names in music — but his story goes far beyond the stage.

After experiencing intense anxiety, panic attacks and agoraphobia, Nathan began a deeply personal journey to understand fear differently and find a way forward. Now, alongside his music, he shares what he has learned with others.

Beyond Fear and Anxiety is a special Festival session offering an honest, practical and deeply human conversation about fear, anxiety and the ways we can change our relationship with them.

It’s a rare opportunity to experience another side of one of TWANG!’s headline artists — thoughtful, open and grounded in lived experience.

📍 Part of The York Festival 2026
🎸 Featuring Nathan Cavaleri
🎟️ The event is FREE but places are limited so please register!

👉 Find out more and book via the event link on our website or on humanitix.

Sometimes the most powerful performance isn’t on the stage.

𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀. 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗬𝗼𝗿𝗸.

We’re very pleased to acknowledge the support of the York Business Association, whose sponsorship of the 2026 York Festival has helped make it possible for us to bring acclaimed Australian blues guitarist Dave Hole to York this October.

For a regional festival, support like this has an impact well beyond the stage.

It helps us present high-calibre artists, gives visitors another strong reason to spend a weekend in York, and creates opportunities for local accommodation providers, cafés, pubs, shops, galleries and other businesses to benefit from the people the Festival brings into town.

That is exactly the kind of practical local support the York Business Association is working to encourage — a stronger business community, better connections between local businesses and a more visible York.

The Festival itself is also shaped by local businesses and venues who open their doors, host events, accommodate artists and visitors, provide services and help create the experience people take away with them.

We’re grateful to the York Business Association for choosing to invest in an event that supports both York’s cultural life and its local economy.

And we can’t wait to welcome Dave Hole — and the many visitors coming to see him — to York from 16–18 October.
