Lambington, the Yankalilla Show mascot, is rounding up sponsors for the 2026 Yankalilla Show!

Scones... tips from the best!

Another feature at the Inman valley farming history day Sunday 17 May is Jo Lush's state award winning scones to eat. Jo won the CWA scone competition at the Yankalilla Show, then went on to win the regional comp and the final at the Adelaide show. Find out more about local cooks at the recipe books and the cooks display at the Yankalilla book shop. Why not enter the Yankalilla Show comp later this year? The judges look for
no flour on the scone, make sure you dust them off
round scones score best, use a proper scone cutter and don't twist when you cut as that alters the shape when baked.

Vale Dr Lyn Gardiner 02/11/1943 - 02/04/2026
The Yankalilla Show Society committee was saddened to hear of the passing of Dr Lyn Gardiner on April 2nd. Many of you will remember him as a respected family doctor in Yankalilla area for 42 years. We remember him also as a supporter of the Show Society, serving as our Honorary Medical Officer from 1976 to 2018, another very generous 42 years of community service. In October 2017, the Yankalilla Regional News, recorded his retirement. He had been one of Yankalilla’s most respected doctors and established the first medical practice in Yankalilla. He supported football every Saturday, loved his community and was recognised by the Council of Ambulance Authorities and the Rural Emergency Responder Network, receiving an RDWA service medal for his years of service.
Dr Gardiner’s funeral will be held at Christ Church Yankalilla, Monday 13th April at 1:00pm (please note the time. It is earlier than may have been circulated elsewhere).

How lucky we are to have so much talent in the community. A big thank you to the generous performances of our local musicians at the Easter Art Exhibition...not all are included here. A special big thank you to Barbara Matthews for organising the line up, to Margie Russell - providing speakers and being sound engineer all day Saturday, and to Tony Heard providing sound equipment and sound engineering on Sunday!
