Yackandandah Folk Festival

Yackandandah Folk Festival Yackandandah Folk Festival is a total community event. Hope you enjoy your Yackandandah experience.

It has developed a great reputation for providing some of the best overseas and touring acts, as well as assisting in the nurturing of younger performers. In addition to great music over the weekend, the festival allows all of the other community groups and sporting clubs to participate so that the festival has become a weekend celebration of fun. The aim of the festival is not to be the biggest o

r the best, but quite simply to provide great music in a friendly relaxed and participative environment. We aim to build friendships and a sense of community and would like all of our friends to return each year.

Hi folks. 2026 festival favourites Grainne Hunt and Jude, are currently part way through their US tour. They’re looking to crowdfund a new album. Please feel free to share the link below and maybe consider making a contribution if you’re able. Many of the tunes they played at YFF this year, will be on the album.

Help Gráinne record her next album, Somewhere I Called Home. Pre-order vinyl, CDs and merch, and help support an independent artist.

For those who are still waiting on payments, they should be with you very soon. Some of your emails have been ending up in Junk/Spam folders by mistake so sit tight and we'll get it sorted. Thanks again for making YFF such a special event for all concerned.

Thank you to our wonderful community for helping us stage yet another super successful festival last weekend. Whether you volunteered, hosted out of town musicians, manned the food stalls, provided venues etc. They say it takes a village and Yack punches well above it’s weight in this regard. If you were short staffed, all you had to do was ask and one of our lovely locals put their hands up to help us out. Short a keyboard stand? No problem! Thanks Mish and Patrick for your help. Thanks so much to all our wonderful performers who came along and played your hearts out all weekend and especially, thank you to those of you who came up afterwards to thank us for such a great experience. It makes all the hard work so worthwhile. Special mention to Kim and Emma from the Star Hotel, who as usual had a huge weekend. We thank you for continuing to support us for many years now. Also welcome to our newest members of the YFF community, Sian, Dale and all the folks at the Yack Hotel. It was their very first festival and they were a bit nervous about what to expect. Every time I saw them, they had big grins on their faces so I think they enjoyed the experience! All our visitors had nothing but positive feedback for the weekend and our amazing roster of talented players. See you all in 2027 for the 30th anniversary event! Watch this space as big plans are afoot🤓

Happy Sunday, Yack! The sun is up, the music is flowing, and we are ready to soak up every last note of this incredible final day.

We are so thrilled to announce that this year's festival is officially a sell-out! A massive thank you to everyone for your incredible support and for making this weekend such a success.

It has been a wonderful few days so far, and we have a packed lineup to take us through to the finish line. Check out the full Sunday program below to help you plan the final day.

Sunday Market
Make sure you wander down to the Sunday Market. It is run by the wonderful team at Yackandandah Primary School and is the perfect spot to grab a coffee, a local treat, or a handmade treasure from 9 am to 3 pm.

Festival Merch
If you were hoping to take a piece of the festival home with you, now is the time to move. We have VERY limited stocks of t-shirts and stubby holders available at the ticket office. Once they are gone, they are gone!

Lost Property
If you have misplaced your favourite hat, your sunnies, or anything else over the weekend, please pop into the ticket office. Our lost property collection is growing, and we would love to reunite you with your belongings before you head home.

Let’s make this last day one to remember. See you near the stage!

Changes to Weekend Program:
Unfortunately, Woody the children's performer has had to attend to a family emergency back in Adelaide so he will not be performing at YFF this year on the weekend at the Kid's Space.
Pans On Fire's scheduled performance in the Rotunda at the Memorial Gardens, has been moved to the Village Green behind the Food Court outside the Council library in High St. Same start time as previously advertised at 6pm. Why not grab a bite to eat from our lovely food court vendors, chill out and listen to some lively dinner music?
Also, if you look at the app now, you'll see that Pete Denahy's set at the marquee is now 45 minutes duration and Dallahan's set is now 60 minutes duration. Cheers and we hope you're all enjoying the weekend.

What a night, Yack!
Is anyone else still buzzing? Between the stomping on the dance floor and those incredible tunes, last night was one for the books! Our feet are a bit sore, but our hearts are definitely full.

The sun is officially out for us today, and it is gorgeous out there. While you’re soaking up the rays and the rhythms, make sure you swing by the Ticket Office to grab your official Yackandandah Folk Festival T-shirt! They are the perfect memento of a stellar weekend, and they're selling fast.

Quick Housekeeping
Did you dance right out of your sunnies? Or maybe dropped your keys during a particularly enthusiastic jig?

Lost Property is also being held at the Ticket Office. If you’re missing anything, head over and see our lovely volunteers, they’ll help reunite you with your gear so you can get back to the music!
