Paddle Australia & Paddle Tasmania are proud to announce that this years 2026 Paddle Australia Canoe Ocean Racing National Championships will be hosted by the Wynyard Yacht Club in conjunction with the Burnie Surf Club on the scenic north west cost of Tasmania.

This Sunday will be the final race in the 2025 WYC winter series. The race will be Sunday at 10am, with check-in open from 9:15am and briefing at 9:45. Great chance to have one last hit out before the 10km state championships at Lake Barrington on Sunday the 14th. Registration for Sundays race at Wynyard is now open.

A fantastic turnout for our race at Franklin this morning. A bit showery, but reasonably mild for the last day of winter (and considering the weather of the last couple of days).

A huge thanks as well to the crew from the North West Coast for making the trip south which meant we saw one of the biggest fields of K1 boats in the south for a very long time.

And of course we need to acknowledge our volunteers for today Joss, Sue, Hannah and Katie for their invaluable assistance to Peter and Phil.
