SmokeFest GC 2023 Update

We know it's been a long period of radio silence, and we apologise for that, but we wanted to jump on and let everyone know we're sad to announce that SFGC will unfortunately not be happening in 2023.

There are a few reasons behind this, ranging from financial viability and venue availability, to time constraints and personal/family reasons.

Many won't be aware that SmokeFest GC is organised and run almost entirely by a team of 2 mates, with help along the way from some very close friends and family. We set out to create a family friendly weekend focused around a love of BBQ, and we think the success of last year's instalment was a testament to that. We absolutely plan to bring the event back in all its glory, but do not want to do it healf-hearted and simply don't have the capacity at the moment to give it the energy and time investment it deserves.

Thank you to everyone who's supported us to this point - we look forward to catching you all at the next instalment, hopefully not too far in the future!

Congrats to Hailey for winning the KidsQue Nation Steak Cookoff last month. A future BBQ champ in the making for sure!

And that's a wrap!

Thank you to everyone who came out and basked in the glorious weather down at the Mudgeeraba Showgrounds over the weekend. We were certainly feeling very fortunate to have dodged the rain when we woke up this morning!

Well we've certainly won the weather lottery!

It's an absolutely glorious day down at the Mudgeeraba Showgrounds. The team is all here and ready to put on an epic weekend for you all! Our awesome BBQ vendors have been up all night getting that low'n'slow goodness sorted 🤤

Please note that there are no cash/EFTPOS ticket sales at the gate. We will have QR signs posted along the entrance for people who need to purchase on the day.

𝗛𝗼𝘁 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗘𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽 - SATURDAY ONLY
Multiple rounds of increasingly delicious (read: painful) hot wings smothered in 13 Angry Scorpions Hot sauce. Awesome prizes for the winner, including a custom knife courtesy of our mates at Savage Custom Creative. Rego 1030-1100 at the 13 Angry Scorpions stall. Comp kicks off at 1145 on the main stage. First in, best dressed for regos, so get along early to prove you're the king of the wings!
