Have you been to Daisy Poppets shop by Daisy Poppets Farm in Wooroolin?

Such a cute shop with a mix of craft and local food produce.

You cannot miss it, the shop is on the main road next to the post office.

Their honey is pure, raw and never heated but what is so exciting about their product is they have infused their honey with different flavours, using natural products such as Chilli 🌶 Ginger, black garlic 🧄 cinnamon, truffle and lemon myrtle 😋

It is getting close to harvest time for local garlic grower, Just Aus Garlic

They will have fresh garlic available in mid October and black garlic available all year round.

In case you didn't know, black garlic is cooked in an oven on a low heat for around 40 days, it becomes caramelised and soft and oh so delicious 😋 it is great paired with cheese or made into a puree, which is great with steak.

Based in Gayndah where mandarins, limes and Mercott mandarins grow beautifully 🍊they also transform their fruit into citrus jelly, marmalade, infused olive oil and cordial.

We are seeking like minded people to join our team ❤️

We have 3 positions available for anyone looking to make a difference in their community by working in a team environment to help create events, workshops and to help spread the word of what it is to be a locavore.

Treasurer - if you have a background in accounting or have volunteered as a Treasurer in a previous community based team, we would love to hear from you. This position would also be beneficial to someone starting out or studying accounting and would like to add a voluntary role to their resume.

2 x committee member positions - perfect for those ready to help make a difference in the local food and farming sectors.

You will find local honey, coffee and citrus. Also, locally made items like Karen's own toys 🧸 ❤️ and items made by other small businesses such as mini Zen gardens 🪴

Check out this gorgeous shop in Goomeri. One of our members, Lightning Tree Wines has opened a cellar door showcasing their delicious wine 🍷 and liqueurs 😋
They are also supporting other small businesses with local Preserves and jams, hats 👒 and much more.

What is really exciting, the distance between where their wine is produced and their shop, is inside 165km, which makes the wine a true locavore product. This keeps the miles down for our environment and betrer quality of their products but most of all, it keeps money in the local community for sustainability 💕
