A moment I’ll never forget 💛
Today, my brumby trusted me enough to let me rub her neck for the very first time. It might seem small to some, but with brumbies, trust is everything — and this felt like such a huge breakthrough. Consistency, patience, and plenty of Equinugs herbal horse treats have helped make our training sessions something she genuinely enjoys. 🐴🌿

Want to make training time more rewarding for your horse too? Discover our natural herbal treats at Equinugs ✨

Introducing the “hand”…

A little unsure at first, then *very* sure once the Equinugs liquorice treats appeared 😄

Watching curiosity take over is one of the best parts of this journey. One brave sniff, one gentle try, and suddenly the hand isn’t so bad after all.

Progress powered by patience, trust… and liquorice 💛

Hey you 👋

Just popping in to say… we’re still here 💛

It’s been a little quieter than usual because we’ve been navigating a deeply personal time. We recently lost my mum, and have taken a step back to be with family and give ourselves some space.

Through it all, Equinugs is still very much here—just moving at a gentler pace for a little while.

We’re starting to find our rhythm again and have some lovely things ahead that we’re really looking forward to sharing with you.

Thank you for your patience, your kindness, and for being part of our community—it truly means a lot.

Fun Fact:
Why yes, "horse diving" was a thing for awhile.
We don't have much information on horse diving, but this photo in our collection was taken by L.A. Huffman probably between the late 1890s and 1930.
What we do know is horse diving usually involved a pretty young woman, who rode a horse off of a platform, dropping up to 60 feet into a relatively shallow pool (some accounts report them being only 12-to-14-feet deep).
Horse diving was a big event in the early late 1890s and 1900s in St. Louis, Missouri, and Atlantic City, New Jersey, but by 1970s interest had waned, and the horses were sold, ending the practice.
