Our trophy for Most Improved Athlete for 2025 was presented to Melanie Sparkes today. A trophy donated and selected by the Mitchell and Lintern families.
Mel has improved exponentially in her first years of Highland Games and we couldn’t be more proud to have her with us at Highland Muscle. Earning her place competing earlier this year in the Amateur International Championships after only two few short years competing in nothing short of awe-inspiring.
A woman who shows incredible dedication, courage, and heart in all aspects of life, and we’ve seen this time and time again on and off the field from Mel. Her commitment to training and competing is beyond impressive. The level of sportsmanship showed by Mel at every event is something all athletes should strive for.
A very well deserved award for Mel.
