Dougstock Site Reveg Update 🌿

Our little babies are growing 💚

Last Sept, with help from our partners at Biodiversity McLaren Vale & an amazing crew of volunteers, we planted 300 natives around the Dougstock festival site.

Even with the dry conditions, most are thriving 🌱

We’re gearing up for another planting day this winter, so if you’d like to get involved, flick us an email at [email protected]

Steve's journey began decades ago with a permaculture design course under Bill Mollison - the co-father of permaculture - in Byron Bay. When he asked Bill if he could stay and work with him, Bill advised, 'Go home to South Australia and teach.' So he did. Over the years, more than 3,500 students learned from his permaculture, ecovillage design and holistic land management workshops.

'Permaculture starts with how you manage your life,' Steve told me. 'Care for the earth, care for people, and return the surplus. Those are the ethics that guide us.'

We LOVE our new festival artwork! Inspired by the rare 'fallen leaf looper' moth 🦋 who literally 'flew' into Doug’s hut (we took it as a sign!) flanked by the stunning red flowering gum 🌳 that blooms in December. Epic work 👏
