Pictured - 5 generations of the Dando family. The Dando family arrived in Westbury in the 1860’s. At the centre is Mavis Dando, who’s 2x great grandfather Henry O’Toole arrived from Londonderry, Ireland in the 1830’s as a convict. Descendants of Henry have lived in Westbury ever since.

A massive thank you to Meander Valley Council for their support for the festival, exhibition and The Young Irelanders concert.

Over the coming days, we will post all the generous support we received from local businesses, community groups and members of parliament.

Day 1 of the Westbury Bicentenary Festival.

Come along for Day 2 and a great family day out. Maypole Dancing and Horse & Carriage Rides added to the program for today.

Another beautiful day on our Village Green, with stallholders here and setting up for Day 2 of the Festival.

A few extra things happening today with Maypole dancing by the local Westbury Primary School students. And horse and carriage rides.

The exhibition in the Town Hall is open 10am to 4pm. And the history tours will be happening again.
