West Albury Memorial Hall

West Albury Memorial Hall The hall will seat approximately 60-80 people, depending on the seating required.

The West Albury Memorial Hall is being refurbished to provide a venue for community events such as craft mornings, dance events, and training and development activities. Albury West Memorial Hall is a former army hut from Bandiana that was transported to its current site in West Albury in 1946 and in 2009 was re-dedicated to five young men who lost their lives in World War II. The public hall, how

ever, was not used after 2015 when the previous Trust who looked after the hall wound up. As a result, the hall was sitting idle for six to eight years and was in urgent need of a number of improvements to bring the facility up to a "fit for purpose" standard (health, safety, wellbeing and security) for a public accessible building available for community use as a fully-functioning facility. On May 27th, 2022, Albury Wodonga Community Chest Incorporated was appointed Crown Land Managers of the Albury West Memorial Hall. The Albury Wodonga Community Chest Incorporated trades as Revolution Theatre Productions which uses the building as a rehearsal, meeting and performance space.

Revolution Theatre Productions is excited to announce our next show at the West Albury Memorial Hall – Calendar Girls.

Calendar Girls (the Play) is based on the 2003 Miramax Picture by Juliette Towhidi and Tim Firth. It dramatizes a true story of a group of middle-aged Yorkshire women who produced a n**e calendar to raise money for Leukemia Research.

It’s a charming and sincere play about friendship and loyalty with a mix of British wit and humour. It celebrates ordinary women doing something extraordinary – with plenty of laughs along the way.
