Re-A-Range is almost at an end! 🌿✨
What an incredible few days it’s been — we hope everyone enjoyed the festivities and got involved in some fantastic community events celebrating sustainability.
Hopefully you’re feeling inspired to make small changes in your daily life that can make a big difference for our planet 🌏💚
There’s just one final event tomorrow, set in Millicent’s very own man-made bird refuge… 🐦

Migratory Bird Card Launch, Lake McIntyre 🐦🌿
🕓 4pm | FREE | All welcome
Join students from Kangaroo Inn Area School as they proudly launch their Local Migratory Bird Cards. Learn about the region’s unique birdlife and the importance of protecting vital habitats.
Enjoy a gentle walk around Lake McIntyre, connect with nature, and celebrate sustainability and conservation in a relaxed, family-friendly setting.

Sustainable Garden & Electric Vehicle Tour, Millicent
🕐 1pm – 4pm | FREE
Explore an innovative, environmentally sustainable home garden and see how one local homeowner is embracing practical sustainability. Visitors can then get up close with two different electric vehicles, learn how they operate, ask questions, and gain real insight into what it’s like to own and drive an EV.

Men’s Shed Open Day, Millicent
🕙 10am – 2pm | FREE
Drop in and discover the local Men’s Shed, a welcoming community hub featuring a fully equipped workshop, model railway, and community garden. Meet members, see what’s on offer, and learn how the Shed brings people together through shared interests and hands-on activities.

Beach Clean-Up, Canunda
🕙 10am – 12pm (BBQ to follow)
Join Coast Marine Plastics Limestone Coast and the Wattle Range Youth Advisory Council for a relaxed beach walk collecting rubbish, followed by a free sausage sizzle. A great way to give back to the environment and connect with the community — all are welcome! 🌊♻️

Seaweed Sunday! – Beachport 🌊🌱
Beach Walk & Seaweed Identification
🕘 9am – 10am | FREE
Participants will explore the Beachport research site, learn about key seaweed species, and collect samples while contributing to the Holdfast project.

Botanical Art Workshop
🕥 10:30am – 12pm | FREE
A hands-on creative workshop where art meets science. Participants will study seaweed specimens up close and create their own unique botanical artwork — no experience needed, with all materials provided.

White Rock Documentary Screening
🕜 1:30pm – 3pm | FREE
Enjoy a screening of White Rock, a powerful documentary by award-winning filmmaker Damon Gameau. The film explores the impact of long-spined sea urchins on Australia’s kelp forests and highlights inspiring, nature-positive solutions driven by science, culture, and community action. The screening will be followed by a Q&A. 🎬
