Explore an innovative, environmentally sustainable home garden and see how one local homeowner is embracing practical sustainability. Visitors can then get up close with two different electric vehicles, learn how they operate, ask questions, and gain real insight into what itโs like to own and drive an EV.
Menโs Shed Open Day, Millicent

Drop in and discover the local Menโs Shed, a welcoming community hub featuring a fully equipped workshop, model railway, and community garden. Meet members, see whatโs on offer, and learn how the Shed brings people together through shared interests and hands-on activities.
Beach Clean-Up, Canunda

Join Coast Marine Plastics Limestone Coast and the Wattle Range Youth Advisory Council for a relaxed beach walk collecting rubbish, followed by a free sausage sizzle. A great way to give back to the environment and connect with the community โ all are welcome! ๐โป๏ธ

Beach Walk & Seaweed Identification

Participants will explore the Beachport research site, learn about key seaweed species, and collect samples while contributing to the Holdfast project.
Botanical Art Workshop

A hands-on creative workshop where art meets science. Participants will study seaweed specimens up close and create their own unique botanical artwork โ no experience needed, with all materials provided.
White Rock Documentary Screening

Enjoy a screening of White Rock, a powerful documentary by award-winning filmmaker Damon Gameau. The film explores the impact of long-spined sea urchins on Australiaโs kelp forests and highlights inspiring, nature-positive solutions driven by science, culture, and community action.
