Re Stringing a Floyd Rose .
Have a close look at this and you will notice that Steve has put a block underneath bridge. He did this by using the tremolo arm to lift it up BEFORE the old strings were cut off. This block lifts the bridge so you can access the frame neuters to tighten the strings. It is definitely a real art to change strings on these guitars!! No wonder players tend not to!

Hi GuitarScapers!!
Well it’s been a bit of a journey since last we posted!! On the 13th March in Bellevue Tennessee, Steve fell down 8 stairs outside of our new friend’s house. He ruptured his quadriceps muscle on his left leg and for the next 2.5 weeks he hobbled around on crutches while we waited to go back to the UK. .
Once in London, we gathered ourselves together and drove north to our wonderful friends and “northern family” . We then took a deep breath and went to A&E at Oldham hospital where we prayed fervently for a quick entrance into the hospital and seeing the right people. Miraculously we were in and out of A&E with a promise of a phone call to come for surgery, in just 3.5 hours! .
4 days later he was sitting in Oldham hospital waiting for his surgery. Unfortunately he had to wait another 24 hours because the ultrasound technician didn’t turn up to work! So on Wednesday 2nd April at 4:30, Steve received his long awaited surgery to reattach his quadriceps muscle to his knee cap! At this writing, it is 3 weeks since he entered the care of the NHS. I cannot lie… they have been amazing!! Caring, compassionate and VERY good at their jobs! .
After 3 weeks, he has approx 30 degrees of movement, he can now lift his leg and he is way more comfortable and more mobile! He is having good days and some not so good days still as the muscle and ligaments heal. With just under 3 weeks before we start up our workshops and guitar setups again, we are hoping and praying for continued recovery and mobility!
This is a challenging time and a complete reset for our remaining time in the UK as you can imagine! We will be back to Sydney in October with more tales of our eventful trip to the UK!!

This guitar was only made for 1 year by Gibson. We have put some great upgrades on it to add to that unmistakable SG sound.
Upgrades include:.

Genuine B5 Bigsby fitted with a Vibramate Adaptor Plate which allows for reversal back to the original if desired. Original Tailpiece included.
Steve made and fitted one of his infamous unbleached polished BONE nut to the SG.
Chrome/Nickel P90 Covers (a new black set of covers will also be included)
New Hiscox Flight Case (The Best!!) in place of the Gibson gig bag.
Full setup & service by Steve with Elixir Optiweb 10-46.
Action specs.
