Wangi Wangi Scarecrow Competition Wangi's first Scarecrow completion 2014, based on sustainability and recycling, was awarded Lake Macquarie Council’s Community Event of the Year – 2015

Beautiful Wangi Wangi, nestled on the western shores of Lake Macqurie NSW, between Toronto and Morisset, saw great success in their first, and now annual, Scarecrow competition in 2014. Based on the theme of sustainability and recycling, the event attracted more than 50, very imaginative and creative Scarecrow entries, and was awarded the Lake Macquarie Council’s Community Event of the Year – 2015



In 2015 the event is on again, and has grown to welcome entrants from Rathmines, Fishing Point, Balmoral, Buttaba, Acadia Vale, Myuna Bay and of cause, Wangi Wangi.
