What a beautiful morning for a 5km run or walk! 91 runners and walkers and a great number of dogs enjoyed the journey on our alternative course. Big thank you to all our volunteers who made the event possible - Katrina, Amelia, Susan, Tim, Greg, Graeme, Tam, Rob and Dawn. Not forgetting our redirector Leah. We're really hoping the river will go down enough to allow the normal course next week.
We're on the look out for lots of volunteers for next week's event. no experience needs. Even a 9 year can do it! And you get to wear the high fashion item of a red vest

A sunny day is forecast for next Saturday 12th September, and with the river still high (1m above the pathway below the Showgrounds), we will again be using our ALTERNATE COURSE starting from the Wangaratta Scout Hall Carpark in College St.
We would LOVE 4 more volunteers please, finish tokens, photographer, tail walker, and a marshall to be at the turn around point. If you can help please reply below or email [email protected]. All jobs easy no experience necessary, and it’s fun hanging out with friendly people. Join Run Director Charles at 7.45am for the briefing before the 8am start. Everybody welcome to join in for a walk, jog or run.

Well done everyone who braved the rain for our 363rd Parkrun, on our alternative course. We had an intrepid team of volunteers who supported our 39 Parkrunners and walkers. Looking for many volunteers for next week, please put your name down if available. Thanks, RD Tam

We are all set for Parkrun tomorrow on our ALTERNATE course starting from the Wangaratta Scout Hall Carpark, College St. The weather forecast suggests rain, so be prepared! Everybody welcome to join Run Director Tammy at 7.45am for the briefing before the 8am start.

Here’s a chance to VOLUNTEER! We are on our ALTERNATE course again but we still need a timekeeper, barcode scanner(s)(2); a marshall to be at the Showgrounds corner, and a photographer! If you can help please reply below, or email [email protected]. Run Director Tammy will give the briefing at the Wangaratta Scout Hall Carpark about 7.50am before the 8am start. Hopefully in another week or so the river might be low enough for us to return to our normal course from Apex Park but please check Facebook

The foggy start to the morning promised a great day with an even better start to the day by those who attended Wangaratta parkrun.

Today we used our “alternate” course again. We had 93 participants on a mild cloudy winter (but Spring not far away) morning. Visitors came from Rosebud, Euroa and Queensland. We had at least one first timer and volunteer.
Many thanks to our essential 13 volunteers Jenny,Gyll,Tim,Prue,Tammy,Dawn,Marc,Ben,Frances,Shannon,Emmett, and Gigi and Graeme
We have a few volunteer spots to fill for next week, barcode scanner, timekeeper, photographer, (with the new beaut camera!), event day course checker. If you can help please reply below.
Next week 29th August we will almost certainly still be using our “alternate” course. Check Facebook later in the week for confirmation.
