Over the weekend, the Queanbeyan Distance Runners headed out to tackle the marathon course.

Believe it or not, this is the view from the top of Amungula! 🌲✨

Thanks to recent harvesting, the forest has opened up to reveal a stunning panoramic. It’s a perspective of the trail that you simply have to see for yourself.

While staring at grey skies from an office desk mid-week can drag, the countdown to the weekend is officially on!

Hopefully your weekend holds plenty of uninterrupted time for that glorious, long weekend run.

📣 Important information for anyone heading out to the Kowen trails!

If you use the Wamboin Community facilities, the Wamboin Rural Fire Brigade station is well signposted. Be aware that a call-out can occur anytime of the day, 365 days a year!
Our trucks are large so be mindful when parking. (Don’t park in the yellow zone)We attend bushfires, house fires, car fires ambulance assists, trees down to name a few. A recent visitor almost blocked our primary vehicle from being available and it was heard “there aren’t bushfires at this time of the year” as the excuse for parking there. Please don’t block any vehicle access in front of any RFS station including our mates at Sutton, Gundaroo or Bungendore brigades.
