A garden beneath a canopy of mature deciduous trees. For 15 years, Claire and Clive have been creating Vention Cottage, where Claire's love of perennials and woodland plants meets Clive's passion for building.

Discover an early settler-style hut, potting shed, handmade brick fences and pathways, fire pits and a five-bay compost area that helps give life back to the garden. Shade-loving plants create a lush and thoughtful garden to explore.

Step through the gate at Ophir Cottage and enter a garden full of imagination.

Winding paths lead past ponds, fountains, a cactus court, circular hedge, garden rooms and a theatre, while a pool, grotto and stonework created on site give the garden a wonderfully personal character.

Inspired by nineteenth-century garden follies, Ophir rewards the visitor who takes their time and looks closely.

Elly's Patch is a garden shaped by determination, resourcefulness and a love of plants.

Created from solid clay soil, the garden has been transformed with gypsum, compost, kitchen scraps and plenty of hard work. Flowers and vegetables happily share the same space.
