PRESENTATION EVENING
Our Annual Rowing Awards Night brought together the heart and soul of our club, the athletes, coaches, volunteers and supporters who make our rowing community so special. From morning sessions to powerful finishes on race day, every stroke this season has reflected hard work, teamwork and pure determination.

On Saturday night, we celebrated not only our champions, but also the quiet moments of perseverance, the laughter shared on and off the water and the friendships that makes rowing more than just a sport.

Congratulations to all our award winners and every member of our rowing team who gave their all this year. Here’s to another season of strength, unity and passion. One team and one incredible community.

TUG-O-WAR
Our 2026 presentation night started with our long standing annual tradition of tug-o-war between the Red and Black teams. All funds raised from the purchase of the Red and Black bandannas supports Canteen. This year for the second year in a row the Black team took out the red team.

What a fantastic result for RGS, finishing in the Top 10 schools.

🥇 Gold – Year 8 Boys Double
🥈 Silver – Year 8 Boys Quad
🥈 Silver – Year 10 Boys Four
🥉 Bronze – Year 9 Boys Quad
🥉 Bronze – Year 8 Girls Single

But rowing is about so much more than medals. It’s about the shared challenges, the friendships and the incredible sense of community that brings our crews, families and supporters together. Amy Holcombe photography captures the essence of our team so beautifully in her photos.

A huge congratulations to all our rowers for their hard work, determination and teamwork and to everyone who makes our rowing community so special. What an incredible way to finish the 2026 season.

ROCKHAMPTON CHAMPIONSHIPS:

What a fantastic day of racing at the Rockhampton Championships!

Our crews put in an incredible performance winning 50 of 54 races! A huge congratulations to all our athletes for their hard work, determination and team spirit.

A very special thank you to all our parents and volunteers who have given up their time to support our club, not only today but across the last three local regattas. From working tirelessly in the canteen and bar to helping with marshalling, boat race officiating, set-up, pack-up and all the behind-the-scenes regatta support, we simply couldn’t do it without you! Your commitment and support make these events possible and creates a great experience for our rowers and the wider rowing community.

Thank you to Amy Holcombe photography for capturing the medal presentation and Rachel for capturing the bustle of the regatta.

Now, we look forward to the next big one! In just 3 weeks’ time, we’ll be proud to join Rockhampton Fitzroy Rowing Club in hosting the Queensland Schools State Championships right here in on the Fitzroy!
