/ ABOUT THE FESTIVAL OF BIG IDEAS
Gippsland is a rich, diverse and proud region. There's a history of launching inspiring initiatives and businesses, and supporting each other during challenging times, but not at a region-wide scale. Gippsland is undergoing a significant economic and social transition that will test the
region and its people. As the region undergoes this transition, the community will be encouraged to navigate the future together, as many of these changes are interconnected. The two-day festival will harness the creative strength of the Gippsland community, showcase regional opportunities, explore possibilities in a transitioning region and inspire positive action. The festival will encourage thoughtful discussion and inspired thinking in a bright, positive format. At the festival, regional leaders (government, corporate, academia) and the general community will be encouraged to join together to share big, bold and brave ideas through a number of activations. The festival will also attempt to foster connections and relationships between enterprises, opening up new possibilities in Gippsland. The festival aims to challenge people to think differently, take action and commit to working collaboratively for the benefit of Gippsland to launch new initiatives that will reshape Gippsland.
