We're excited to announce that Jodie Kennedy will join Tourism and Events Moreton Bay as our new Director - Events.

Jodie will join the team with more than 25 years' experience in tourism, major events and destination development, having delivered some of Australia's best-known events and worked extensively with Tourism and Events Queensland, local governments and industry partners to grow visitation and create lasting economic and community outcomes.

Her appointment comes at an exciting time for Moreton Bay. As our events portfolio continues to grow - from delivering community events on behalf of the City of Moreton Bay to building signature events such as Jetty 2 Jetty and KiteFest - Jodie's leadership will help shape the next chapter of our events strategy as we build towards Brisbane 2032.

We're lighting up our local landmarks in green and gold tonight to celebrate this exciting milestone. 💚💛

The road to the Games is about more than sport, it's creating opportunities, building connections and leaving a positive legacy for future generations. We're excited to be part of the journey.

For the very first time, Riding With Sticks is bringing the thrill of full-contact jousting to North Queensland and you won't want to miss this incredible spectacle!

Watch as armoured knights charge down the lists, lances lowered, in a display of skill, courage, and medieval pageantry unlike anything our region has seen before.

Whether you are cheering for your favourite knight or simply experiencing jousting for the very first time, this is set to be one of the highlights of the festival.

Our jousting arena has limited grandstand seating available for each performance, so if you'd like the best chance of securing a seat, we recommend arriving at the arena a little early before each display begins.

For those wanting a guaranteed place for one exclusive performance, our Early Access Pass includes entry to a special joust held during the early access hour, giving pass holders plenty of room to spread out, enjoy the action, and even balance a morning mead or turkey leg while they watch! 🍗🍺
