🚨 Official Statement - Urethane Ball Restrictions in Corner Pin Standings Events

As most of you would have seen, Tenpin Bowling Australia has today confirmed the adoption of the IBF 78D urethane hardness rule for all National Ranked Events.

For us, this isn’t new territory.

Cornerpins has already had restrictions around urethane in place for a number of years. We’ve always been focused on keeping the game fair, competitive, and aligned with where the sport is heading globally.

With that said — we are now formally aligning all Cornerpins events with the TBA / IBF high performance urethane regulations.

This will take effect immediately, starting with ANC|50 next week.

All CPS events moving forward will adopt this rule. Simple, consistent, no grey areas.

This includes:
• ANC|50 – Ultimate Tenpin Cup & Ultimate Teams Clash
• ANC26 and beyond (all divisions – Open & Junior)
• Suncity Ladies Open & Suncity Men’s Open
• Lexus of Townsville Suncity Open
• CLS North Queensland Junior Open
• All Q Tour North events
• All Q Tour South events

If it has a Cornerpins logo — this rule applies.

You will not be required to register bowling balls unless specifically stated in individual event rules.

Oil patterns for ANC|50 are finalized and have been shared directly with franchise owners. We’ll be posting them publicly very soon.

We’re not here to complicate things. We’re here to keep it consistent, fair, and moving forward.

Stop 2 done and dusted.

Another weekend where the lanes got tested, the pressure went up, and the bowlers had to stand up when it mattered. And they did.

All payouts completed — no delays, no chasing, just done.

Final results for Stop 2:
1st Connor Raines — clinical all weekend and finished the job when it counted.
2nd Matt Clague — pushed hard and kept the pressure on right to the end.
3rd Marissa Rossberg — another strong showing, proving again why she’s always in the mix.

The stepladder delivered… tight matches, momentum swings, and a few moments where it could have gone either way. That’s what this tour is about.
