Legacy100 Triathlon The Legacy 100, Townsville’s only long course triathlon event, is held on the 2nd Sunday in April at Riverway.

This important local charity event raises funds with 100% of competitor fees being donated for Legacy . On Sunday morning, as the sun rises over the Ross River, participants will undertake a 1km swim | 90km ride | 9km run to complete the 100km course. In 20

22, the event returns to its roots on the original long course, including a challenging ride up Hervey’s Range. This hotly contested local event is offering a Legacy 50 this year, so those of you not ready for the full distance can still compete and raise money for Legacy! Also, a corporate teams event caters for the soloist with friends option. Will you accept the Legacy 100 challenge and raise funds for Northern Queensland Legacy? Legacy has been caring for the partners and children of veterans who have given their lives or health during or because of their military service for almost a century. Currently, Northern Queensland Legacy supports almost 600 beneficiaries aged between four and one hundred years. Money raised by the event will support education for children, financial and social support for widows and will help free up critical volunteers so that they can spend more time helping people in our community.

💪💪We were both very excited and very proud today to donate $4250 in competitor donations to the president of Northern Queensland Legacy following our recent Legacy 100.

💪All competitors in both the Legacy 100 and Legacy 50 events should be extremely proud of their contribution to supporting Legacy Australia.

Massive thanks to Cubic Defence Australia & New Zealand, Townsville City Council and DLB Communications & Hydro Excavations for supporting this local event and this local fundraiser.

🏆The Legacy100 Triathlon has raised funds for Legacy since 2015 and it was great to be back on the original course. It was fantastic to hear how many of you really connected with the march of the drums down to the start line followed by the bugler playing the last post as the sun came up for race start.

We are already planning next year's long course triathlon event with the date locked in - 16 Apr 2023!
