To continue the Easter celebrations, here's the first lot of photos from the Mary Easter Scavenger Hunt event last weekend.

The weather was perfect, the smiles were endless, and the community spirit was truly something special. Now it’s time for some heartfelt thank yous...

💛Thank you Fraser Coast community, you guys came out in force to support this event and had an amazing time too! We know this year’s event ran on a Saturday instead of our traditional Sunday. With so many fantastic events happening on the Sundays leading up to Easter, Saturday became the best option. Many hours go into bringing this event to the community and all the feedback we've received so far indicates you all had a wonderful day - so congratulations to you all for coming out and celebrating Easter with us!

🚂Thank you to MELSA for running the miniature trains, they're definitely a crowd favourite - there were so many happy faces on the trains!

🚂Thank you to the MARYBOROUGH WHISTLE STOP for bringing the Mary Ann Steam Train along. This was new for us this year and from what we've seen, has been a big hit with the crowds!

🎵Did you enjoy the entertainment? Thanks to STIX N STRINGZ in the Rotunda and SHANE VAN WAMELEN in the Parklands for providing some wonderful music and entertainment for the crowds to enjoy throughout the event.

😋Thank you to our FOOD VENDORS, NOT-FOR-PROFIT GROUPS & MARKET STALLS. They put in a lot of effort to bring you quality products, food, and beverages for all to enjoy. A special shout out to MOONABOOLA SCOUTS, YOORANA & MARYBOROUGH NEIGHBOURHOOD CENTRE for running free craft activities and chill out lawn games.

🦄Plus we need to give a big shout out to FANTASEA FACES, the girls did an amazing job with the face painting, they worked non-stop for 4 hours getting all the little faces and arms painted. And thank you to AFFORDABLE JUMPING CASTLES for providing our inflatable games and castles for the kids to enjoy.

🎈Thank you DANIEL WENT for providing some fantastic balloon art for the kids to play with, lots of happy faces with their balloons!

🟨We would be remiss to not make a special mention of the fabulous LINDA AUSBURN from RAY WHITE. Linda went above and beyond, not only providing sponsorship, she printed our Entry Forms and also bought 20 tickets to giveaway to the community prior to the event. Then, she stood at our gazebo and handed out chocolate boxes for 4 hours!! Absolutely amazing - thank you Linda!

TODAY'S THE BIG DAY!

Get your Easter hunting boots on and head down to Queens Park and the Mary River Parklands for a fabulous day of hunting eggs, jumping castles, face painting, balloons, music, food, markets and trains galore! Don't forget our wonderful Easter Bunnies - spreading chocolatey cheer!

We have such an amazing time at this event, don't miss out, entries go on sale from 10am, there's also bonus prizes donated by our wonderful trains, food/drink and market vendors so be sure to check the back of your entry form to see if you've won a bonus prize!

More chocolate you say? Enter our Monster Easter Raffle, 1st prize is a gift basket with $100 worth of Easter goodies, 2nd prize is $50 worth and 3rd prize is $30 worth. Tickets are $2 each or 3 for $5, purchase these at the MCPAI tent (where you get your scavenger hunt entry forms from) - PS hot tip, we'll be located under the big fig tree in Queens Park.

Free stuff to do: listen to music by our live local artists, stop in at Yoorana Second LIfe Hub to chill out with some large lawn games, visit the Moonaboola Scouts and the Maryborough Neighbourhood Centre to do some arts and craft.

Market Stalls: you'll find these located all around the event, so be sure to explore the entire event zone. We've even got market stalls inside Excelsior Band Hall this year.

🐰Only 3 weeks to go and we'll be hopping down the Bunny trail in Queens Park for the annual Mary Easter Scavenger Hunt! Who remembers this video of last year's event? It was an amazing day and it's back for 2026!
