We have HUGE NEWS! The Central Coast is getting a brand new marathon.

In 2026, One by Mingara Run Fest Central Coast is introducing the Life Medical Imaging Marathon - a major new addition to the local and regional running calendar.

Set for Sunday 27 September 2026, this picturesque single lap course gives runners another chance to take on a full marathon right here on the Coast, with a scenic course and cooler race conditions thanks to the new event date.

It’s a big moment for the running community, not just locally but across the wider region, with runners from the Central Coast, Newcastle, and beyond now able to compete in a full marathon as part of .

Whether you’re ready to step up to 42.2km or already planning your next race season, this is one to put in the calendar.

Super excited to finally share this! Lots of work behind the scenes has gone into getting to this point!

📅 New Date – Sunday 27th September 2026
We’ve moved the event forward to give runners cooler, more comfortable race conditions and an even better race day experience.

🔥 New Event – Life Medical Imaging Central Coast Marathon

For 2026 we’re adding a single-lap Marathon to the program. It’s a fantastic new challenge for runners looking to step up from the Half, or for marathoners chasing a fast, scenic course.

Race weekend is upon us at our Run Fest Port Macquarie event... we've got some super exciting news to share relating to Run Fest Central Coast in 2026!!!

Online entry will be opening for the 2026 event next Sunday. The big news - in partnership with Life Medical Imaging Run Fest Central Coast will now hold a marathon and it's an epic 1 lap course. Huge thank you to the Life Medical Imaging team for your support of Run Fest - We are with you for the long run.
