This week we celebrate the heart of The Texas Jockey Club — our volunteers.

From the early mornings to the late nights, the setup, clean up, behind-the-scenes jobs and everything in between… this club simply wouldn’t run without you.

There are so many more incredible volunteers than those pictured, but today we thank each and every one of you for your time, hard work, dedication and community spirit.

Your efforts help keep our country racing tradition alive and make every race day possible. We appreciate you all more than words can say.

A month on and the work continues … and so do the thank you posts!

To our amazing Texas Jockey Club committee, Promotions committee, and our hard working team of volunteers who put in countless hours, week in and week out, for a one-day-a-year event — you are legends.

Whether it’s mowing, slashing, fixing a tap, shifting sprinklers, auditing the books, keeping up with insurances and compliance, marketing the event, or tracking down sponsors — every job matters, and we are so grateful.

To the awesome guys and gals who turn up on race weekend - a massive cheers to you all! Gate keepers, bus drivers, photographers, auction and calcutta crew, canteen and bbq, bar, beer and ice loading crew to the guys that feed and water the trainers and jockeys, the sponsor hosts and race judges. Not to forget the barrier boys, set up , pack down, clean up crews, electrical and lighting, ticket sellers, toilet cleaner, rubbish crew and ofcourse MC of the day. We simply cannot run a race day without every one of you and we are grateful.

To the locals, families and friends who travel to lend a hand on race weekend — thank you. It’s a mammoth task, but together we get it done… and we do it well.
