From CAMELOT to the CAMELTOWS, you seriously got into the spirit of our inaugural Coolest Crazy Camel Campsite Competition! 🐪🎉

The attention to detail, creativity, humour, camaraderie and downright hilarity were an absolute joy to see.

Our judges had an almost impossible job, with so many brilliant entries they said everyone deserved a prize! Some entrants had travelled from Tasmania, NSW, SA, NT and across nearly every region of Queensland!

Here are just a few of the camps that were captured. A huge THANK YOU to everyone who entered and put so much time, effort and imagination into bringing their campsites to life. If you have pictures of your camp, please be sure to share with us in the comments.

You certainly set the bar high for next festival! 👏

🛍️ There was plenty to discover beyond the racetrack at Tara Festival!

From unique gifts and handmade goodies to clothing, accessories, local products and plenty of festival finds, our market stalls were made for a good browse between all the camel racing and entertainment.

A huge thank you to all the stallholders who joined us and brought such a fantastic variety of shopping to the festival! 🐪❤️

🎶🐪 This time last week we were singing, dancing and partying at the Origin Energy Stage!

From Robbie Mortimer getting the crowd going to Dee Jaye Bux keeping the party pumping and James Johnston headlining an unforgettable Saturday night – what a lineup, and what a crowd! 🙌

Who else wishes we could do it all over again this weekend? 👀

🤠 There was plenty of country action happening at the River 94.9 Country Corner over the weekend!

From camp oven cooking demonstrations and sheep shearing to incredible sand sculptures taking shape before our eyes, it was a great spot to slow down, watch, learn and enjoy a little country tradition between the camel races.

The QGC Stage was alive with culture all weekend!

From the thunder of the Japanese drummers to captivating Aboriginal dancers, lively German bands and so much more, the QGC Stage celebrated the incredible diversity that makes Tara Festival so special.

The competition on the Origin Energy Stage was fierce, with an incredible showcase of creativity, colour and country style.
