Truck Pull update…

After testing yesterday we found that arm over arm pulling of the truck is going to be too hard for the majority of competitors.

We want competitors to be able to have a fair chance with every event.

Therefore we have decided to change the event to a truck pull with harness, with a rope to pull on.

We will be using the one truck over 15m with a time limit of 75 seconds.

SO how can we manipulate the difficulty from the open ladies to the open mens?

Introducing Red tape / Blue tape.

The pulling rope will have a strip of red tape around it, 5m from the end the competitor will be grasping at the start of the event. There will also be another blue strip around the rope at 10m mark.

Open Mens and Masters Men will start the event and when their hand comes to the red tape, they will be told to drop the rope and the rest of the 15m course, they will need to keep the truck moving with leg drive. The rope will be safely moved away from the competitor and the truck by the official.

Under 90’s men will have the rope until they reach the blue tape at the 10m mark, then as above.

Open Ladies will have the rope to pull on for the full duration of the pull.

Other divisions (ladies masters, under 64 ladies) will be given the choice of trying to pull the truck or the Triton Ute.

TRUCK PULL + PUSH

1. Time Limit 75 seconds

2. Competitor starts seated holding onto the rope facing the truck.

3. When the whistle blows, the brakes will be released in the truck, and the truck is pulled by the rope, a distance of 15 metres.

4. Once the truck reaches 15m mark, the competitor will then get up and attempt to push the truck back to the starting position.

5. If they complete the pull and push within 75 secs, their completion time will be recorded.

6. Distance completed will be recorded if, the whole event is not completed within the time limit.

LOG CLEAN + PRESS FOR REPS

1. Time Limit 75 secs

2. 10” Log will be used for Ladies, Under90 Men.

3. 12” log will be used for Open Men and Masters Men.

4. Each rep is commenced from the log being on the tyre, to the log being locked out overhead, with the competitor receiving the down call for a successful rep before lowering.

5. The log must not be bounced off the tyre, and must be controlled down to the tyre.

6. The competitor aims to complete as many repetitions as possible in the 75 sec time limit.

RISING BAR DEADLIFT

1. All competitors will nominate the weight secretly to the event organiser which they wish to jump into the event on.

4. Once the event starts, competitors will come into the event when the weight for their opening lift is reached, and will have one 60 second time period to register a successful lift.

5. A lift is successful upon the referee giving the good lift / down call.

🤠 The countdown is on, just over 40 days.

How good is it to be finishing a comp, then walking 🚶‍♂️ 5 mins to a free concert 🎶 in the park with Adam Brand amongst other artists bashing out the tunes.

Come the night before and go to the Bush Spectacular… ⭐️

Yes accomodation might be tricky, but it will be worth it, even if you end up camping 🏕 in a swag, but there are still AirBnBs available. So try the best to get there and you WON’T regret it.

05/03/2022

Entries are coming in fast now for the competition, with just 10 days left to submit your entry form.

Never seen so many Men’s Masters competitors interested, and the other divisions are filling up fast.

Don’t miss out. We have even more great surprises in store…..

This is also the biggest day of the Country Music Festival in it’s 50th year 🎂

We are all going to have a great time.

Message me for an entry form.
