Apparently one post wasn’t going to cut it.

More moments from beyond the arena — the rodeo riders and barrel racers between runs, waiting at the rails, working with their horses and sharing the quieter moments that happen when the crowd is watching somewhere else.

Because for every few seconds of action in the arena, there are hours of preparation, patience, partnership and people behind it.

You see them when the gate opens.

But some of our favourite moments happen before the ride, after the run and in all the moments in between.

The rodeo riders and barrel racers waiting their turn, talking with mates, tending to their horses, dusting themselves off and getting ready to do it all again.

Thousands of people showing up ready for a bloody good Sunday in Tamborine — cheering from the rails, filling the grandstand and turning a Rodeo into an atmosphere.

Tamborine Rodeo 2026 🤠

Turns out, it looked every bit as good as it felt.

The dust. The noise. The rides. The little cowboys. The cold drinks. The packed rails. The people who showed up and made the whole damn thing what it was.

🤠 PLAN YOUR RODEO DAY — SAVE THIS POST!
We’re getting close! Before you load up the car and head in Tamborine, here’s your Rodeo Day checklist.

📍 CHECK THE SITE MAP
Save the site map to your phone before you leave home so you know where you’re heading, where to park and where to find everything once you’re through the gates.

🪑 WHAT TO BRING
• Camp chairs — grandstands are SOLD OUT
• Picnic blanket
• Hat, sunnies + sunscreen
• Comfortable shoes
• Tickets saved to your phone
• Parking pass printed or saved to your photos
• Card for Square purchases
• Cash for vendors who may not accept card

💵 NO ATM ON SITE
There is no ATM available at the Rodeo, so come prepared with your card and some cash before you arrive.

🚫 WHAT TO LEAVE AT HOME
• BYO alcohol
• Outside food + drinks, except baby food or specific dietary requirements
• Eskies
• Glass
• Pets — service animals only
• Dangerous or prohibited items

🚗 DON’T FORGET YOUR PARKING PASS
There is no street parking, so organise your on-site parking before Rodeo Day and have your pass ready to show on arrival.
