🌿 MTCC In Touch | Winter–Spring 2026 🌿

Wow — the warm weather has certainly welcomed spring in! 🌸☀️ As we head into a new season, we’re excited to share the latest edition of MTCC In Touch, our Winter–Spring 2026 newsletter.

And while spring has brought plenty of sunshine and warmth, here’s a little cheeky reminder… Tamborine is always a few degrees cooler! 😉🌳 So if you’re looking for the perfect place for your next getaway, why not come and enjoy a little mountain air, beautiful surrounds and a refreshing change of pace?

Most importantly, this newsletter is an opportunity for our MTCC community to stay informed about what’s happening. As a not-for-profit ministry, one of the greatest contributions you can make isn’t simply financial — it’s your prayerful support of the current happenings, decisions and direction being taken by our Board and staff.

🙏 Please take some time to read In Touch, stay informed, and most importantly, pray with us as we continue to seek God’s wisdom and guidance for MTCC and the season ahead.

Thank you for being part of our community and for standing with us in prayer and support. 💚

It is truly special to celebrate people who have poured so much heart into MTCC over the years. Ken and Marilyn Grice’s dedication to Mount Tamborine Convention and Ken’s service to the Board, not once but twice capture a beautiful lifelong commitment.
Transitions like stepping down from a board can feel bittersweet, but knowing they aren't going anywhere and will keep serving in other ways makes all the difference. It was wonderful to celebrate this during the Board Retreat over the weekend.

Seniors Plus Encore — Day Two 🌅

And today, the Sunshine Coast remembered its name! ☀️ After yesterday’s rain, we were treated to a glorious sunny day — a beautiful backdrop to another rich and encouraging day at Seniors Plus Encore.

One of the highlights was Dr Ann Farrell’s session, “Building Faith through Family Conversations.” Ann unpacked the importance of authentic and candid conversations around the dinner table, or in those other ordinary, organic places that are special to each family. These everyday conversations can become an integral part of building a child’s faith — passing on the precious legacy of a life lived for the Living God.

We were also richly blessed by the brilliant Bible teaching of Simon Manchester, which continues to challenge, encourage and draw us afresh to God’s Word.

And then there was the hymn sing! 🎶 There was something deeply precious about lifting our voices in those much-loved hymns — what a joyous foretaste of singing in Glory!

We thank God for this conference: for His Word, His faithfulness, the gift of fellowship with friends in our same season, and the encouragement to keep living and passing on a legacy of faith 🙏

Seniors Plus Encore — Day One 🌅

They say it’s the Sunshine Coast… but someone forgot to tell the clouds! ☔️ We certainly had our share of rain today, but thankfully it couldn’t dampen the warmth of our fellowship or the joy of being together.

It has been a wonderful first day of encouraging fellowship, thoughtful conversation and excellent Bible teaching, with two particularly engaging electives: 'Growing Old Christianly' and 'The Gospel According to You'. Both have given us plenty to reflect on as we consider what it means to continue following Christ faithfully through every season of life.

And then there was the food — delicious! Probably the best sticky-date pudding the Sunshine Coast has ever tasted...

A full and rewarding first day. We’re grateful for the time together and looking forward to all that tomorrow will bring.

Bring on Day Two! 📖

A great resource from friend of MTCC, Simon Manchester. We can't wait to listen to his Seniors Plus talks at the Sunshine Coast next week. Bring on Seniors Plus Encore!

Simon Manchester is passionate about presenting people with the good news of Christ in a way that matches the situation they’re in, and his booklet 𝘈𝘵 𝘢 𝘛𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘓𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 can help you give hope to someone in a dark time of grief. It’s recently gotten a new design, so take a look at the online sample!
