Help Us Finish This Stage of the Walls 🧱

The walls of the Temwani Children’s Home in Zambia are beginning to take shape, and we are so grateful for the incredible support that has helped us get this far.

Thanks to generous donors, the bricks for this stage of the build have already been purchased. Now we just need the cement to finish laying them.

We currently need 15 bags of cement, which cost $15 each.

If you would like to help, you could sponsor:

• $15 – 1 bag of cement
• $30 – 2 bags of cement
• $75 – 5 bags of cement

Once this cement is funded, the builders will be able to complete this section of the walls.

For the next stage we will continue the build and will need to purchase more bricks (around 1700) as the walls keep rising.

If you would like to help with the cement for this stage, comment “CEMENT” or send us a message and we’ll share the details.

Thank you for being part of building something truly life-changing for these children.

This video is from yesterday and shows where they are currently at with the height of the bricks. They are trying to get it completed as quick as possible because unfortunately some of the bricks are getting stolen overnight 😢 Our next small goal is to raise $230 for the remainder of the cement to finish putting all the blocks in place 😀 keep an eye out in our next post for a way that you can help complete the construction of the walls!

Hi to everyone here! We are well overdue for an update post on the building of the new home for the Zambian children. Is anyone else feeling like 2026 has just got off to a flying start and it’s hard to keep up? 😆

There is a lot of progress on the home. It is coming towards the end of rain season in Zambia which did slow down the construction for a month or so. It has rained almost constantly from November to currently but they are able to resume again now. The slab was finished about two weeks ago and now they have commenced laying the blocks for the interior and exterior walls 😀 the children are getting excited now because they can really start to claim which room is theirs!

What a day we had today! It was seriously hot 🥵 but it didn’t stop people coming out in droves to buy bunches of stunning sunflowers and we are so grateful for the support of each and every purchase!

It wasn’t without mishap (including our gazebos completely taking flight with the wind and then being backed over by a runaway car!) but we made the most of it all and it was a huge success!

We want to say such a huge thank you to Rob and Jenny Mountain View Sunflowers who are the most incredible supporters of our project and we were so honoured to be able to dedicate today to this cause so close to our hearts 🌻

Also a really big thank you to each and every volunteer that turned up, and stayed, in the crazy heat to help process all the flowers.

Thank you to each person that brought one, or many, sunflowers or some of our merch. Because of you the new home for our Zambian children will continue to be built and we cannot tell you in words how much that means to them and to us.

Thank you to all the vendors that came and supported and a special big thanks to Tinonee Fire Brigade for the selfless volunteering directing traffic and assisting.

Thank you also to our beautiful church family led by Pastor John John Parer and Pastor Mary-Ann Mary-Ann Parer who have been 100% behind us the whole journey to encourage and support ♥️

We look forward to updating you very soon with what today’s funds will go towards!

The night before prep for our big day tomorrow at Mountain View Sunflowers! 🌻

We are looking forward to this event so much and can’t wait to meet some beautiful people and have some great conversations about how we can all help on the journey to building a new home for our amazing children in Zambia!

It is expected to be a very warm day tomorrow so please don’t forget to bring a hat and a water bottle to keep you refreshed as you pick your bunch of sunflowers 🌻

Our main man Tom Mwanza who’s not only a fantastic runner but an even better musician will be playing some tunes for you throughout the day so pack a picnic, pack your friends and we can’t wait to see you there!
