What a joy it was to have live Celtic tunes filling the festival.

A huge thank you to Louzco Fouzco and The Folksters for their fantastic performances, and to William Hutton for joining them on a few songs. The music brought such a vibrant and festive atmosphere to the day.

Just like last year, they were a true highlight of the festival. Full of energy, tradition and joy, they beautifully reflected what Breton culture is all about: sharing, coming together and keeping traditions alive.

We were deeply honoured to welcome His Excellency Mr Pierre André Imbert, Ambassador of France to Australia, to officially open Brittany Down Under during our festival breakfast.

His thoughtful and personal speech, reflecting on his own time in Brittany, set a warm and meaningful tone for the day. His presence and support meant a great deal to our community and to everyone involved in bringing this celebration to life.

What a special day! Bringing Brittany to Sydney means sharing more than food. It means sharing culture, tradition and a part of who we are. Celebrating our heritage with this community was something truly meaningful for us.

What a day! What a celebration 🖤
Thank you to everyone who came along to Brittany Down Under and made this festival so special.

From the traditional dances and the live Celtic music, to the food, the crafts and even the weather, we truly felt like we brought a little piece of Brittany all the way to Sydney. Seeing the crowd gather, dance, taste and celebrate Breton culture was incredibly moving.

This edition was a real success, and it would not have been possible without the incredible support around us. A heartfelt thank you to the Embassy of France, the Région Bretagne, all our sponsors and prize donors, and every partner who believed in this project and helped bring it to life.

From Crêpes and Galettes by Four Frogs, kouign-amann by Tonton Bread, moules-frites, and Pâté Hénaff sandwiches, to traditional mariniere by Armor Lux, traditional dance classes and more, get ready for an authentic Brittany feast.

BRITTANY DOWN UNDER IS TOMORROW !!!

Last year, our first edition of Brittany Down Under exceeded all expectations. We became the biggest festival celebrating Brittany outside of France, with an amazing turnout that made us so happy to share our culture here in Sydney.

This year, we’re going even bigger, more stalls, more activities, more music, more food… everything you loved and more! We can’t wait to celebrate our second year together with you.

Back by popular demand after a great success last year, the dance classes return to Brittany Down Under.
This fun and interactive activity was one of the highlights of the festival, bringing people together to discover a new kind of dance and beloved local traditions.

This year, there will be two dance classes during the day, at 12 pm and 2.30 pm. Open to all levels, these sessions are a perfect way to move, learn something new and fully immerse yourself in the energy of Brittany.

Whether you are dancing for the first time or coming back for more, Tiffany's dance classes are something you won't want to miss out on!

This morning we were on with our organiser and the amazing dancers from sharing Breton culture, traditions and making Shirvo taste the kouign-amann with Australia Co We are so proud to see Brittany shining on national TV ahead of this Sunday’s festival!
