ALPINE is created by local Chef Prue Asimus of Dear Prudence Catering and Sommelier Mathieu Mouraire of Intermezzo Italian restaurant. Both working extensively in the food & wine industry this occupation also spills over to their social activities. After hosting many dinner parties in their home, Prue and Mathieu had limited space to invite all the favourite people in there tiny Sydney apartment.

The idea of hosting the ALPINE Pop-up came by complete accident. During a drunken autumn Sunday afternoon, Mathieu was inspired by his former homeland of mountains of Switzerland. So, he decided to 'whip' up super delightful special cheese fondue and the reaction was overwhelming! At ALPINE Pop-up, you share, you taste and become part of the overall culinary experience from Switzerland to Sydney during few dates only. You can eat bread chunks dipped in a pot of hot cheese, BYO drink, relax, listen to great tunes and have a good time - much like being at a friend's home.
