Myanmar Students’ Society UNSW - MSS

We will update our outing activities, events and general meeting date in here.

With MSS UNSW marking our 10th year anniversary, we aim to raise unity amongst Myanmar students and to promote and maintain Burmese culture. We also help provide a smoother transition for Myanmar students in adapting to changes in the environment by providing a community away from home. The mission statement is brought to life by our annual keystone events including Thingyan (Burmese New Year Fest

ival) and Thandingyut (Burmese Light Festival), where students are able to socialize and share our unique variety of culture with the rest of UNSW. In 2022, new activities such as Burmese language workshops, scavenger hunts, camping trips and cultural exchange events will be implemented. Join us to feel supported throughout your study chapter in Sydney and to learn more about our rich culture and history!

MSS will be competing in the UNSW Intercultural Cup 2026 from 12:00 – 5:00 PM on 6th March (Friday)!

This session will also double as a training opportunity for the tournament 💪
If we see great teamwork, spirit, and skills, you might even get invited to join the official MSS football team 👀⚽
