Recently the team came together at NOMAD in Surry Hills for a night that was equal parts celebration and thank you.

We’re looking for an experienced Joiner / Shopfitter who can take projects from drawings through to on-site install, work with a passionate crew and take pride in the details.

I've read thousands of quotes.

Three things that seem to blow budgets…

Not the total. Not the logo at the top. Three specific phrases, buried in the middle of a line item, that tell you exactly where the budget's going to get blown out.

Everything that actually determines your final cost is sitting in the wording nobody reads twice.

A new name doesn't mean a new company.

MNR Constructions is now Traction Studio.

Turns out most rebrands are just a new coat of paint.

This one's just us finally matching the name to the work.

If you're with us already, or just about to start, it's business as usual, with a name we're proud to say out loud.

Same people.

Nineteen years ago, I was just trying to get through a job without anything blowing up.

No real system. No clear path. Just working it out as I went.

Three years later, I put a name on it: MNR Constructions.

What followed was sixteen years of bigger projects, bigger challenges, and clients who kept coming back and bringing others with them.

Somewhere along the way, the work outgrew the name.

The standard never needed changing.

It just needed a name that matched it.

So today, we’re stepping into the next chapter as Traction Studio.

Same team. Same workshop. Same standard.

Just a new name for what we’ve been building all along.

To everyone who’s trusted us with a project over the years – thank you. You’ve helped shape what this has become, whether you realised it or not.

We started out, like many great businesses…
doing everything for everybody.

But as we grew, we quickly realised there was huge demand for brand activations, pop-ups and experiential events.

Since then, we’ve built beautiful custom displays for brands like Chanel, Google, Netflix and many more. We become known throughout Australia for doing one thing really well.

So, we’re rebranding to reflect what we’re now famous for.

Traction Studio reflects not where we’ve been, but where we’re going.

We can’t wait to see where it takes us next.

Not everything needs to be custom built.

Sometimes, the right hire does the job beautifully.

When Personalised Favours was preparing for a wedding expo, they needed a display that felt polished and on-brand.

So we supplied a branded cabinet and two shelves to bring their stand together.

It was a simple solution, but it worked.

Great-looking furniture, exactly what they needed, without investing in a custom build for a single event.

And after the expo, Melissa Wilkinson told us she’d definitely be coming back for future events.

That’s the bit we love.

Finding a practical solution that makes the whole job easier.

Traction Studio isn’t just about custom builds.

Whether you've been with us since year one of MNR or you found us last week, you had a hand in this rebrand without knowing it.

None of this happened alone.

Every client who handed us a brief and trusted us to deliver.
Every producer who brought us in on something high-stakes.
Every project that taught us something the last one hadn't.

All of it built the standard we carry into this next chapter.

MNR Constructions is now Traction Studio.

Now the name matches it.
