CYL Lion and Dragon Dance Australia CYLLADDA welcomes all students to learn the art of Lion and Dragon Dance. It requires skill, strength and more importantly, passion! WHO ARE WE? WHAT WE DO?

Founded in 1976 and based in Sydney, Chinese Youth League Lion and Dragon Dance Australia (CYLLADDA) practises both Southern (Traditional and Freestyle) Lion Dance & Dragon Dance and have been performing in New South Wales for nearly 40 years now. The objective of our troupe is to educate the public about lion and dragon dance through performances, presentations, and interaction. History, knowledg

e and understanding is a crucial element in appreciating the Asian arts and traditions; we foster this through our strong community presence and providing information about the cultural relevance of this ancient dance. Performances: Chinese New Year celebrations - parades/stage, Mid Autumn festival celebrations, Weddings, Birthdays, Open Days, Corporate Events and many other requests. Competitions: Genting in Malaysia

Bendigo Easter Festival 2026. Along with several teams from Victoria and across Australia, it's a weekend filled with performances and parades. We're so grateful to have been a part of the Bendigo Easter celebrations for more than 10 years with all the best lion dancing talents around the country.

🐰 It's happening this weekend! The CYL Lion Dance team will be making the annual 8hr trip down to Bendigo, Victoria for a weekend-long celebration of Dai Gum Loong and its amazing community at the Bendigo Easter Festival.
