A community arts and creative worship space, an initiative of Newtown Mission.

Annandale Creative Arts Centre provides a place for the development of innovative arts practice, community involvement in the arts and creative expression of faith. Located in the Uniting Church buildings in the hub of Annandale village life, the centre currently hosts:

- weekly classes open to the community

- regular studio space for working artists of different disciplines

- seasonal worksho

ps

- seasonal performances and exhibitions from professional musicians, dancers, actors and visual artists

- monthly and seasonal opportunities for creative worship expression

This is it! Our final Make Art: Open Stage, Open Wall at Annandale is just a few weeks away on Friday 7th November at 7.30pm. Please join us in farewelling this amazing space that has meant so much to our creative community over the years. You might even like to bring something that you have made in or for the space to share.

Bring along what you're making at 7pm - be it poetry, music, sculpture, watercolour, dance, theatre - and share it with the ACAC community as part of this multi arts open mic, or be part of our audience.

Please note that stage performances should be 3-5 mins in length, e.g. one song or a couple of poems.

Make Art: Open Stage, Open Wall is tonight!

Come along to share your art or support your friends!
In honour of Poetry Month, bring your poems or art inspired by poetry to share.

Poetry can be like music - it has a rhythm, it tells a story. Poetry can be visual - a shape carved by blank spaces, by lineation. Poetry can be like dance - the interplay of body and language. Bring us your artmaking that plays with these intersections; we’d love to see all sorts of interdisciplinary experiments.
