😁Online event alter! It's Mid-autumn festival today!
🤩Hello everyone, hope you are having a fun semester so far!
🥰Today is the traditional chinese festival, Mid-autumn festival!
It's a festival starts in Tang dynasty and become popular since Song dynasty.
While there is a few other countries like Japan also celebrating this festival, the Chinese tradition is family gathering and eating mooncakes.
🌕Old chinese story also says there is a cute bunny living on the moon, named Yutu (Jade Rabbit), and we can see it clearly during Mid-Autumn.🥰
Which bring us to the event:
🐰From today to Sep 8th 12pm, post your mooncake or mid-autumn festival event and . We will pick up one lucky bunny to receive a lovely Bunny Plushy from us!🐰

Cultural Talk:
Three: This number has quite a lot of meaning. The meaning of the number seems to be "two plus one" or to sum up the meaning of "multiple", but three is a check and balance number.
For example, the three highest military and political officials under the ancient emperor, the "three dukes": Sima (chief officer), Situ (prime minister), and Sikong (Yushi the censor); the country has three troops, middle and lower (left, middle, right); There in education will be a township test, a meeting test, and a palace test that face the emperor directly. There are three scholar award for the top three: the champion (zhuangyuan), the second (bangyan), and the third (tanhua). Another example is the common idiom that everyone usually uses: "three people make the rumour of tigers" "as furious as being three feets high" "three stupid masters is quuivalent to one Zhuge Liang".
So why are the Chinese so obsessed about Sanhui? Perhaps it was because of the ancients' knowledge of the world. Naturally, the world is divided into "sky, earth, and people", and temporally the world is divided into "former, present, and future", spatially "up, center, and down", directions "left, center, right" and "front, center, and back" ". Seen in this way, it seems that three can represent all, so it implies the meaning of perfection.

In daily life, "two" implies auspiciousness, in pairs. Words like "Double Happiness Comes to the Door" and "Dragon and Phoenix Show Xiangxiang" usually express blessings and celebrations. At the same time, "two" can also be understood as symbiotic coordination. As far as "yin and yang" is concerned, "yin" and "yang" can make the two internal coordination forces that grow and fall with each other. Here we still citing Laozi's point. "Dao produces Yang, Yang produces Yin, Yin Yang produces gossip, Tai Chi produces everything, everything Negative yin and yang, anger and peace."
