Registrations are now open for the 2026 MLTA NSW Conference.
The theme of the conference is Clarity, Communication and Connection, taking place on Friday, 29 May 2026, at Rydges Sydney Central.
Internationally renowned expert Dr Gianfranco Conti will be the keynote speaker with diverse lineup of presenters who will share innovative approaches and practical strategies for language teaching and learning.

Conference registration fees:
Members: $230
Non members $300
Pre-service teachers $50

Gillian Cordy, AFMLTA past president proudly presented the highest honour, the AFMLTA Medal, to Professor Lesley Harbon at the AFMLTA conference, for her distinguished service to language teaching in Australia and particularly NSW. We thank Lesley for her lifelong service to generations of teachers and students.
Great to see AFMLTA President Miyako Matsui and past President with the recipients. Congratulations to both Dr Lesley Harbon and Dr Sherryl Saunders for being such deserving recipients of this award.
