Our Story

Founded in 2008 By Jamal Farokhsereshti as he worked with the greats of Iranian music in iran he was ready to share his knowledge to everyone in Australia, Madakto Arts Centre started off as an Iranian Music Academy That teaches traditional Persian Instruments as well as classical western Instruments, as the years went by Madakto gradually formed its very own independent Music Ensemble brining in talented musicians together in Sydney, History was Made Madakto Ensemble debuted at The Harmony Day Festival 209 With Jamal.F & Ali.Noorolahi, a two men ensemble.

And so the years would go past, more and more musicians would join Madakto Ensemble & Academy, In the year 2013 Madakto Had their first professional Concert with Kurdish Icon Master Aziz Sharox.

The concert ensemble featured Siamak Farokhsereshti a member of the Farokhsereshti Family, with an elite ensemble they pulled of an amazing performance in Sydney and Melbourne.

After that Madakto’s ambitions got bigger after four years of working hard performing in numerous concerts around Australia and setting up the first ever Iranian Student Music & Arts Concert in Australia.

1 Year later they formed a 25 Man Orchestra with a fusion of Traditional Iranian Musicians & western Classical Musicians to bring in one of the Most Famed & Highly Decorated Musicians in Irans All time History; Maestro Shahram Nazeri, This was huge for Both Madakto, Iranians & Music Fanatics around Australia, this was the opportunity to prove what Madakto is capable of.

Jamal and his team started the project of the Concert with the help Of Siamak’s talented Arrangement/conducting & Jamals Orchestral Management.

Its July 22nd 2017 at The Sydney Lyric Theatre, the big and final night of the Concert Tour & a big night For Madakto and Iranians all over the world, the first Iranian musicians to perform at one of the best Venues in the world, a sold out venue with a record breaking attendance of 1,500 attendees at the Sydney Lyric Theatre, a box office record holder.

A beautiful Concert tour ended with Extremely incredible numbers in four cities, 6,000 People, the highest amount of attendance at a Persian Concert in Australia and 2nd in the world outside of iran.

After a Year from that Concert, Madakto worked with Alireza Ghorbani One Irans most talented Traditional Singers and went on to work with Master Adnan Karim, Dubbed as the Kurdish Shajarian For his unique style of singing.

And So That is our Our Story but it hasn't ended there is always a next chapter in the Madakto Arts Centre Book.
