Drum Roll please for our last Trainer to be announce for the Trainers Challenge 2023.......is Daniel Robinson - DPR Horsemanship
Daniel Robinson is an accomplished horseman hailing from the small town of Newmarket, England.Growing up in a well-regarded racing family, Daniel spent a lot of his childhood on the gallops of Newmarket heath where his passion for horses quickly grew.
He travelled to places like France and Australia to further his knowledge and spend time with some Master horsemen such as Ian Francis along the way.
Daniel has grown his business – DPR Horsemanship over the past 8 years with his team, and specialises in the early education and problem solving of horses for all disciplines.
He has gone on to win competitions such as ‘The way of the horse’ and loves to participate in horsemanship competitions in his spare time...Don’t miss seeing these wonderfully skilled horse trainers in action at the Festival from Thursday through to the finals on Saturday.

All challenge competitors your selection emails have been sent out. Please check your inbox if you have not received an email please contact the challenge coordinator.
With a large number of entries for the challenge this year with 51 Open, 48 Ladies, 36 Juniors and 31 Striplings all with outstanding capabilities as you could imagine, this made a selection process very challenging.
However the 36 Open, 18 Ladies, 18 Juniors and 25 Striplings were chosen through the selection criteria and information provided on your rider profiles. If you have made the waitlist we highly recommend to keep your horse in work and ready for competition as with eight weeks out from the competition anything can happen. We look forward to some amazing competition in 2023!

🚨 KILCOY RODEO 2022 UPDATE 🚨
It is with a very heavy heart that we announce we have had to make the very difficult decision to cancel our rodeo on 26th March.
The Showgrounds sustained extensive damage in the recent floods (this image is of the grounds AFTER the peak of the floodwater), and unfortunately there is just not enough time between now and the rodeo to have the grounds dry out, and then allow us to repair what needs fixing.
To say we are disappointed is an understatement. We tried extremely hard to find another date later in the year to postpone to, however it proved impossible to find a date that fit within both the Showgrounds & NRA availability.
For now we will roll through the motions of cancellation, and direct all our focus to making 2023 the biggest and best yet.
We thank you all so much for your ongoing support, and are so disappointed we couldn’t bring you a rodeo this year.

Introducing a new MFSR initiative:
-Upper Murray Agricultural Field Days 6th-7th of April 2022 -
Taking place at the Old Corryong Consolidated School Site, this 2 day event will support local business, and their suppliers, while promoting the Upper Murray and its recovery initiatives. A fun and engaging opportunity to introduce farmers, agricultural professionals, suppliers, workers, grain end users, local leaders and youth to existing and new farming enterprises, machinery, equipment, technologies and techniques.
The Field Days will attract local agricultural clients and draw on an existing crowd of Festival attendees (approx. 8000 per day). Now that is something to get excited about!
