The 2023 SYDNEY KNIFE SHOW will host the hottest display the show has ever seen! Artisan and Industrial Blacksmiths, along with members of the NSW Artist Blacksmith Association will be bringing their power hammer, anvils, forges and more demonstrating traditional forging techniques and tools.

In 2023 we are also honoured to have ABS Mastersmith, and host of History Channel's FORGED IN FIRE, J. Neilson. joining the demonstrating team each day for a canister damascus forging display!

James Docherty (Jimmy) has a huge wealth of knowledge in all forms of industrial blacksmithing, from tool making to architectural work, Jimmy has done it ALL. Every year Jimmy generously brings a host of amazing equipment to the Sydney Knife Show to ensure the best possible demonstrations (including his massive 75 kg power hammer). Jimmy hosts regular events in Sydney at his workshop in Western Sydney and is an active participant with the Artist Blacksmiths NSW. These events just would not be the same without Jimmy so be sure to stop by to say G'Day and ask any questions you have!

J. NEILSON MASTERCLASS!!!

Last few places still available to take part in the Second Masterclass.
From August 18th – 20th, ABS Mastersmith J. Neilson will instruct participants how to forge weld two different types of canister damascus, then taking one billet through to a completed utility knife.

The 3 day Masterclass will be held at Eveleigh Works and is limited to 8 attendees at a cost of $1950 per person. Applications to attend will be taken by Expression of Interest as applicants will be required to be of an intermediate or above standard of knifemaking.
