🐴 Picnic Horse of the Year will be decided at the Tambo Valley Cup!

🐴 We have a great list of acceptances from trainers and horses from across Victoria, which will make for a great day of racing.

It’s a stunning Races Day Eve in the Tambo Valley.

We’re very excited to host our annual Easter Sunday Picnic Races tomorrow. Here are some helpful tips ahead of the day:

🐴 Gates will open at 11:30am. General Admin tickets can be purchased by cash or card.
Adults $20, Kids 16 and under are Free

🐴 We have 6 full fields of races. The first race is at 1:10pm, and the last race at 4:20pm. Bookies on course

🐴 There are strictly no Dogs allowed at the racecourse. You must leave your pooch at home!

🐴 The bar staff may ask for your Proof of Age/ID to purchase alcohol from the bar.

🐴 There are no ATMs at the racecourse, but the bar and our food stalls all have eftpos options

🐴 We are providing complimentary buses to get to and from the races. Please refer to our earlier post for the bus schedule.

🐴 The Junction Hotel Swifts Creek is holding a races after party for anyone looking for kick-ons!

🐴 and finally, rest up tonight and be ready for a great family day in our beautiful High Country!

⏰ and just like that - it's a week to go to Race Day!

We have a fantastic family fun filled day planned for all our attendees on Easter Sunday and so far the forecast is looking pretty great! 😎

We have all our regular favourite activities on the schedule:

🏏🏉 Kelly Sports Australia are on duty from 12:30 providing lots of options to keep the kids entertained

🏃👟 for those with plenty of energy the Foot Races will be held after Race 2 on the finishing straight, sponsored by the Junction Hotel Swifts Creek

💃🕺 we have Fashions on the Fields with our brand new sponsor RB Sellars Bairnsdale on board, along with our long term supporters TerryWhite Chemmart Bairnsdale Pharmacy and Daisie's Hair Salon helping with amazing prizes to be won

🐰🥳 we can't forget it's Easter either, so the Easter Bunny will make a special visit after Race 5

🐓🫢 and finally it wouldn't be the Tambo Valley Picnic Races without the legendary Ricky's Rooster Crow - ear plugs available on request - IYKYK
