Kawana parkrun A free, weekly, timed 5k event every Saturday morning at 7am at Kawana Surf Club. Everyone is welcome to walk, run or volunteer.

Kawana parkrun is a FREE weekly timed 5km event for runners of all standards, which takes place every Saturday at 7am in Kawana, Sunshine Coast, Australia. parkrun is not a race against other runners, but a 5k timed run and it can really be whatever you want it to be, whether that's for fun or as part of a training plan. It offers an opportunity for all the local community, male or female, young o

r old, to come together on a regular basis to enjoy the beautiful surrounds and get physically active at the same time. We want to encourage people to jog or
run together irrespective of their ability – this event is truly open to all and best of all it really is FREE!

Hello there Parkrunners and parkwalkers. Thanks for joining us today, where 211 people ran or walked our spectacular coastal course. 31 were first timers to Kawana, 10 first timers to ParkRun, and 27 recorded new Personal Bests. Congratulations to all who completed the course, it was a sunny if somewhat chilly day for a ParkRun.

Hey everyone, I gotta busy day tomorrow so I thought I’d get in early as we’ve got a few key spots that definitely need filling for Saturday, otherwise the show won’t go on! They are

And not quite as essential but judging by this above call out some (me🤣🤣) would say is just as essential is a volunteer coordinator. We’d like the volunteer coordinator to start at the start time being 6.30 to get people beforehand please. Hey they might need to drum up a timekeeper if no one heeds this call out! What a great morning of running/walking and chatting with friends and visitors at our lovely course. The weather held off and it ended up being a great morning for parkrun 🤩

This event could not take place without volunteers so I would like to say a huge THANK YOU to these fabulous people who gave their time this morning to ensure this event ran so smoothly 🥰

Thanks for joining us today, where 154 people ran or walked our glorious coastal course. 14 of which were first timers to Kawana, 4 were first time ever to ParkRun and a further 35 recorded new Personal Bests. Congratulations to all who completed the course, it was a beautiful day for a ParkRun.
