LARA BUCHANAN makes music for late-night drives and quiet reckonings. Based in Melbourne, the emerging singer-songwriter blends sharp rock edges with anthemic pop hooks, crafting a soundscape as vivid as it is raw.Unpacking themes of nostalgia, existential dread, and the chaotic freedom of young adulthood, her tracks hit with visceral emotional honesty.

Fresh off selling out headline shows in both Melbourne and Sydney and backed by the viral success of her breakout single "Gold" (surpassing 2.7 million streams) Lara delivers a distinctive edge sonically and lyrically.

Joining Lara in support are emerging Eora artists Lily B & Avery Pickup.

LILY B makes music built on loud feelings and even louder live shows. An indie pop songwriting prowess, wrapped in big 90s rock guitars, her anthems are unmissable.

Since her 2024 debut, she's earned three features on Rage, editorial playlisting, national radio airplay, two Australian Cinematography Award wins, and sold out shows on her national tour of debut EP "Grown Up?"

2026 has been Lily's punchiest year yet. "Show Me How" marked her return to ABC Rage and triple j Unearthed. "Lina," her most colourful, poppiest release, returned her to Fresh Finds AU & NZ and brought a new Rolling Stone Magazine collaboration.

Avery Pickup is a 21 year old independent alternative pop artist based in Sydney. Her debut studio album ‘killer’ (2025) achieved nearly a million Spotify streams - following the success of lead single ‘letter’ - and created a loyal fanbase, largely due to her work’s emotional resonance. Her music is often compared to artists like Phoebe Bridgers, Lizzy McAlpine and Mitski.

Young musicians of all backgrounds and levels of experience are welcome to bring their instruments and come take part in the famous Futureproof sundaze jam session!

Come and see great up'n coming bands and artists, meet people, make friends, play music, play some cards or board games, enjoy some free food and refreshments or just hang!

SUNDAZE is a casual monthly hang in a safe space for teens, young musicians and live music lovers, run by FUTUREPROOF. It features up-and-coming young bands and artists, an informal jam session, card and board games, table tennis and free refreshments.

SUNDAZE is held on the first Sunday of every month.

Our all ages venue today for King Street Crawl, the beautiful heritage iconic St George's Hall is also the High School Hall for Newtown High School of the Performing Arts. it's the school hall where performers like Katie Laga'aia (Moana) and Milly Alcock (Supergirl) first trod the boards as young teens, where bands like the Lazyeyes (our headliners at last year's Crawl) first shook those boards playing to their classmates, when Bang Chan of kpop band Stray Kids sung in his school choir, where Hottest 100 winner, May-a, first dreamt of stardom.

Each year we've brought young high school stars of the future and emerging stars of today to the fore at our all ages stage at King Street Crawl - former students of the school returning to their old school hall - like the Lazy Eyes - as well as teen stars in the making.

IIt will be same today with Newtown High band VIRL performing, and other Sydney high school bands and artists Embrosia, BRONTE, The Underground Brass Band.
