Head of the Brisbane The Head of the Brisbane is a 9.5 km time-trial rowing competition that is held on the Brisbane river The event is open to Schools, Elites, and Masters.

Toowong Rowing Club hosts the Head of the Brisbane regatta annually on the third Saturday in October. The course is a 9.5 km out and back course that starts and finishes at Toowong Rowing Club, with a turnaround point near the start of the St Lucia golf course.

Hey, HOTB rowers and spectators - meet Rowan.

Rowan's family is part of our rowing community, and he is fighting hard against Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. He needs a stem cell transplant, a reality faced by 1,100 Australians each year.

If you can, please head over to the 'Register for Rowan' and Stem Cell Donors Australia tent on Saturday (HOTB 18.10.25) to find out more about becoming a stem cell donor.

By registering, you offer hope to Rowan and countless others awaiting a life-saving match.

There will be cheek swabs that people can do at the time, which can be mailed to Stem Cell Donors Australia on behalf of the person.
