About us

We invite you to join us for “Living & Loving in Diversity,” the AGLMC 2018 national conference at St Kilda Town Halll, September 21st to 23rd.

The Australian Glbtiq Multicultural Council - AGMC (AGMC) is a peak body for individuals and groups from LGBTIQA+ and multicultural backgrounds, as well as our allies and supporters. Members and non-members alike are invited to attend this fabulous, thought provoking, and unique conference event.

What has happened in the last 10 years for multicultural and/or multi-faith LGBTIQA+ people and their communities? Has there been progress toward equality? Has there been a change in approach to connecting with multicultural or LGBTIQA+ communities?

Our line up of speakers include Joseph Carmel Chetcuti, Dr Maria Pallotta-Chiarolli, Benjamin Law, Tina & Renee Dixon, Ro Allen, and Dr Lucetta Kam. Highlights of our social functions include a Welcome Reception, the United We Feast dinner event and the exciting AGMC book launch. Special program streams include our Youth Day, the Nebula art installation in association with Arts Access Victoria, and a Victorian State Candidates forum presented in partnership with the Victorian Gay & Le***an Rights Lobby.
